Mini Blue Blood AMV

Been working on this for over a month. Sadly, I didn't get to the shots that I wanted to do by the deadline. I cut a lot of what I wanted to do (and they were really exciting shots too).

This is for 's contest. I saw that the first place prize was a new cintiq and had to give it a shot. I am currently trying to make a living out of art, and my current outdated cintiq (freakin' 2001 model) is dying. It's pretty hopeless to color on it anymore. Nonetheless, I don't want to pull a pity party. Just my motives behind the contest. Also getting a nice fabulous piece of artwork from Skailla would be an incredible honor. I love her style and her eye for color.

I saw her storyboard for her blue blood characters, Amy and Dixon, and got inspired by it. I'm someone who loves to bring things to life, and I felt this was a perfect opportunity for me. I animated some shots from her storyboard with my own little twist of creativity on it. I'm also a BIG sucker for romance lately and been wanting to do something romantic. There was going to be alot more than what was here, but the deadline is today T.T I had a few 3D shots planned and roughly laid out, but they didn't make it :/

To be honest, I learned quite a bit from Skailla's style by doing this. I also learned that pupil sizes MATTER. I loved the basic head shape design of these duos. I struggled a bit though when it came to the eyes and snout. Nevertheless, it was fun drawing someone else's style (Or at least trying to) and expanding my artistic fingers.
